Description

Oxytocin was her substance of choice, and since her sobriety in 2010, she has become a certified peer specialist. Now in her ninth year at Grapevine Center in Butler, PA, Betsy Laporte is the bridge to mental health services, sharing her own life experience with a goal to make people feel seen, heard and supported. She also brings value to the female homeless population by filling a closet each year with clothes, shoes, sanitary items and other items. She is also a single mother who dedicates herself to her daughters.
