CS Lewis defined Joy as “an unsatisfied desire which is itself more desirable than any other satisfaction.” Joy can, and is often is confused with happiness.
Today, “happiness” at best typically refers to a pleasant, positive feeling or subjective state that includes some short-lived measure of satisfaction, contentment, or enjoyment that occurs. At it's worst, we confuse hedonism as joy or happiness.
How do we highlight the transcendent in our mission and vision in a way that allows us and those we lead to pursue Joy everyday?
