What does it take to really forgive someone? What happens to your brain and body when you do or don’t? Why is it important to practice forgiveness in our everyday situations and how can our hearts help to heal our past wounds?
Not easy questions to answer and is why I am so glad to have had the opportunity to sit down with my second guest in this exploration of forgiveness. Dr Robert Enright has been studying and writing about forgiveness for decades and says that although we may not all forgive in the same way, we can all forgive if we choose to.
Through his work, Dr Enright has helped countless people who have experienced all sorts of injustices discover forgiveness as a way to be in community with others, rather than being in a constant divide. He also says that for those who choose not to forgive, it is possible to still lead a happy and fulfilling life.
If, like me, you have found yourself lost and confused about what forgiveness really means then I hope you will enjoy this episode of Flip It. And If you did, I would be hugely grateful if you could rate, review and subscribe. It really will help me to discover and share more stories and voices that deserve to be heard.
