Description

Ever felt like you're living as a version of yourself that doesn't quite fit? Today we're unpacking the concept of the false self and why self-compassion is key to uncovering our true identity.

As children, we all develop this false self as a kind of protective shield when we don't feel safe being our authentic selves in order to "fit in" with our family, culture, etc. This is a brilliant adaptation strategy for survival, but as adults the more we continue to act as our false selves, the more unhappy and unfulfilled we become.

We're getting into the nitty-gritty of how our nervous system plays a role in shaping our behavior patterns and how practicing self-compassion can really shake things up in the best way possible. It's not just about thinking differently, it's about feeling differently too, paving the way for lasting transformation.

We're also sharing practical physical and mental techniques to help you cultivate that self-compassion and begin moving toward a more authentic way of expressing yourself in the world.

It's time to bid farewell to the safe-version of you and move towards a life that's aligned with who you truly are.
