Punk criticized John Cena, Vince McMahon, and the WWE establishment.
He declared himself "the best wrestler in the world."
Punk broke the fourth wall by mentioning backstage politics and other wrestlers.
He revealed that he would leave WWE with the championship.
The promo was a "worked shoot," meaning it blended scripted elements with real frustrations.
Despite its controversial nature, parts of the promo were approved by WWE management.
In the end, CM Punk left WWE with the WWE Championship on July 17th. His "Pipe Bomb" remains a defining moment in wrestling lore
