In this quite personal Bonus episode, I explore the complex journey of integrating my scientific training with heart-centered healing work. Drawing from a recent interview with author Anastasia Myshuk, I share my experience as a social science researcher who now facilitates emotional and energetic healing through practices like PSYCH-K®, mentoring, and Reiki. Through vulnerable storytelling, including a powerful example of supporting someone through a cancer diagnosis, I examine how scientific knowledge and intuition can work together in healing, while acknowledging the challenges of operating between paradigms.
I honestly address the "messy middle" I inhabit. I discuss the cultural lag between existing consciousness research (quantum physics, psychoneuroimmunology, Dr. Hawkins' work) and mainstream institutional acceptance, revealing how this creates the challenging but necessary liminal space where many healers and researchers find ourselves. This episode offers permission to embrace complexity, hold multiple perspectives, and serve authentically from wherever you are on your integration journey, without needing to fit neatly into established boxes.
