Kicking off an entire month of Christmas horror, we are discussing the 1984 cult classic Slasher, "Silent Night, Deadly Night." Infamous for its blend of holiday cheer and brutal violence, the film is about a young man named Billy Chapman, who suffers from PTSD after witnessing his parents' murder on Christmas Eve in 1971 by a man dressed as Santa Claus. Combined with his subsequent upbringing in an abusive Catholic orphanage, the Christmas holiday causes a psychological breakdown, as he embarks on a murderous path of punishment while donning a Santa Claus suit of his own.
