Description

In this solo episode of Cawfee Tawk, I break down the very Italian-American phrase "finalmente." Technically it means "finally"… but culturally? It means, "About time. What took you so long?"

Finally got engaged. Finally had a baby. Finally bought a house. Somehow a win turns into a subtle roast.

I talk about how living in a constant "finalmente" mindset keeps us chasing the next thing instead of celebrating how far we've come. Why does every accomplishment immediately get followed by, "Okay… so what's next?" And why do so many of us feel like if we say something good out loud, we'll jinx it and it won't happen?

I also open up about going to therapy—not because something is "wrong," but because having an unbiased space to talk feels safe and necessary. Plus, I get into the New York accent discourse—why people think we sound uneducated when so many of us are anything but—and how growing up in New York is the reason I talk fast, drop half my consonants, and never finish a word.

It's funny, a little vulnerable, and maybe the permission you need to enjoy your wins without a "finally" attached to them.
