Today we are repenting for our nation, praying against insurrection and rioting and FOR peace in our nation.
John 14:27 NLT - ""I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid."
Jeremiah 29:7 NLT - "And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare."
Romans 13:1 NLT - "Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God."
1 Timothy 2:1-2 NLT - "I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity."
1 Peter 3:11 AMPC - "Let him turn away from wickedness and shun it, and let him do right. Let him search for peace (harmony; undisturbedness from fears, agitating passions, and moral conflicts) and seek it eagerly. [Do not merely desire peaceful relations with God, with your fellowmen, and with yourself, but pursue, go after them!]"
Ephesians 2:14 NLT - " For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us."
May we be emissaries of peace.
