Description

Today is the third day of the "35 Days to Pray for the USA" prayer initiative.  The focus of our prayer today is aligning our will with the Lord's as we pray.  We also spend time praying for the victims of Hurricane Helene and the subsequent storms.

Focus verses for today:

• • 2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT - "Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land."

  • Matthew 4:16 NLT - "the people who sat in darkness
        have seen a great light. and for those who lived in the land where death casts its shadow, a light has shined."

  • Hosea 4:4 NLT - "The Lord says, 'Then I will heal you of your faithlessness; my love will know no bounds, for my anger will be gone forever.'"

  • 2 Timothy 2:1-4 NLT - "I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth."

  • Ezekiel 22:30-31 NLT (theme verse for the 35 Days) -  "I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn't have to destroy the land, but I found no one.  So now I will pour out my fury on them, consuming them with the fire of my anger. I will heap on their heads the full penalty for all their sins. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!"

What a joy to pray and agree together!
