The tale of the goose who lays golden eggs reminds us to take care of the source.
The farmer got so greedy for more eggs that he killed the goose in hopes of getting all the eggs at once. Only to reveal there were no eggs in side.
Sometimes we expend the source in the effort to get more outcome.
We do this at work by driving and pushing for too hard and too long exhausting employees.
We do this personally by overtraining, over working, over eating etc. at the expense of our health.
We do this in relationships by not giving time, attention and love and then we don't get any more time attention or love in return.
We have to be mindful of creating a balance between the source and the outcome.
Fight living in the extremes.
