I know what survival mode feels like. It's the hoping that tomorrow will be less chaotic. It's waiting for this season of life to pass.
Some seasons do pass, kids get bigger, jobs change but some seasons last longer than necessary because we are too busy managing the day to day to stop and take the lead.
Leadership is doing the right things where management is doing things right.
