Stray were largely ignored throughout their career in the 1970s and have been all but forgotten since. However, their lack of any commercial or critical success is due to no fault of their own. They were good players that wrote some great songs. Chalk their irrelevance up to bad timing in a highly competitive market that included the likes of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath.
