The Best EVs for Dogs

For dog owners interested in acquiring an electric vehicle, ElectricDrives has compiled a list of key considerations for adopting an EV with man's best friend in mind:

  • A large boot and flat loading floor make it easier for pets to get in and out

  • Low load height is essential for older or larger breeds

  • Dog Mode or remote pre-conditioning can help keep pets safe for short periods

  • Strong ventilation and tinted rear glass help manage temperature

  • Durable or rubberized interior materials are easier to manage with muddy paws

Among the recommended EVs are the Tesla Model Y and Ford Mustang Mach-E, and those interested can check out ElectricDrives for the full list.
