As news director at KTVK-TV3, Phil Alvidrez made magic happen, taking the lowest-rated station to the highest. He credits hiring great people, which he did, but he did a lot more, and tells stories colorfully and well. He used the phrase "four-year overnight success" and said he chose television over radio because "TV is radio plus pictures." He created Arizona's Family and members still adore him no matter how long ago they worked with him.
Lisa Schnebly Heidinger has been telling stories of Arizona people and events starting as a cub reporter in Green Valley more than forty years ago. She moved through radio, television, magazines, opinion pieces, magazines and books, until now she hosts the podcast Celebrating Arizona. Each of her guest interviewees has their own Arizona, and more.
