Description

Galileo Galilei (who lived between 1564 and 1642) was one of the most influential scientists of the Scientific Revolution. His work in astronomy, physics, and mathematics laid the foundation for modern science. However, his findings also brought him into conflict with the Catholic Church, leading to one of history's most famous trials for heresy.
