Description

Few figures in Mexican history are as legendary, controversial, and enigmatic as Pancho Villa. He was a bandit, a revolutionary, a general, and a folk hero remembered for his role in the Mexican Revolution (1910–1920) and his daring cross-border raid on the United States. Villa's life was filled with violence, ambition, and contradictions; at times, a Robin Hood-like figure, at others, a brutal warlord.
