A single seed holds the power to transform acres of land. In the same way, one policy shift or bold investment in agriculture can reshape a nation's food future.
In this episode of the Zero Hunger Project, MP Michael Coteau brings you inside Canada's food conversation from the federal level to the grassroots. As Chair of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food, he explains how precision farming, AI-driven technology, and smarter regulations can strengthen Canada's competitiveness while keeping food safe and accessible.
You'll hear how school nutrition programs change children's lives, why Canada's national school food program matters, and how community-based growing builds resilience. Michael makes a compelling case that food sovereignty begins locally, scales nationally, and contributes globally.
Consider how you can help build a food system that is smarter, stronger, and truly Canadian. Tune in to the full episode of From Seed to System: Rethinking Food Security in Canada.
