Why We Live in Story and How Narrative Shapes Everything (and How to Take Control)
In this episode, I dive into the idea that we don't just write stories - we live them, often without realizing it. I share a personal story about a long-standing (and unrequited) love that helped me uncover the deeper, subconscious narratives I'd been telling myself since childhood. It's vulnerable, a little uncomfortable, and hopefully a helpful reminder that the stories we believe - about ourselves, about others, about what we deserve - are often just inherited scripts we haven't rewritten yet.
We'll talk about why our brains need story, how it shapes every part of our lives, and how to begin taking authorship over the plot you're currently living. I also walk you through a practical reflection exercise to help you start reframing the narrative that might be holding you back.
