Fuller's career in public service began during his time at Bellarmine College Preparatory and CSU Fresno, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminology. While pursuing his education, he spent four years in the California Army National Guard, a commitment that paved the way for his transition into active duty. Upon graduation, Fuller earned a Regular Army commission as an infantry Lieutenant, marking the start of a decade-spanning career in national security and law enforcement.
Fuller's military service saw him lead troops through high-stakes environments, first as an infantry officer in Germany and during the First Gulf War. He later specialized as an explosive ordnance disposal officer, commanding critical units in the Sinai Desert and at Fort Bragg. Following his military career, he transitioned to the FBI as a Special Agent, where he dedicated twenty years to complex federal investigations. This tenure included diverse assignments across the United States and overseas in Cuba and Afghanistan, as well as specialized roles as a firearms instructor at the FBI Academy and a Congressional Liaison Agent on Capitol Hill.
While balancing his rigorous career, Fuller maintained a strong commitment to higher education. During his assignment in Vermont, he attended the University of Vermont, earning both an M.Ed. in Interdisciplinary Studies and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. Now retired near Charlotte, North Carolina, he has traded the high-pressure world of federal investigations for a more domestic focus. He currently spends his time navigating the transition to retired life, keeping his wife on her toes, and attempting to steer his children away from too much mischief. tcfuller.com
