Description

The curtain closes on prophecy with The Book of Malachi, the final voice of the Hebrew Bible. It's a bold farewell: calling out corruption, reminding priests of their duty, and warning that faith without sincerity is hollow. But Malachi doesn't end in despair — it ends with promise: "I will send Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the Lord." It's a cliffhanger, a call to spiritual renewal, and the start of centuries of anticipation. The prophets may fall silent after this — but their echo still fills Jewish time.
