Summer 2001: I'm temping at a marketing firm, 4 hours a day with my husband, arguing about Payless shoes. Love under pressure, for real.

"Let's Talk About Hollywood" isn't gossip. It's career + real life from inside the mediasphere. In 2001, months before The Hollywood Reporter, I was a temp. My husband Stone made more than me and wanted a house. I was told "you're not a working actor." We fought about money, exhaustion, and dueling ambitions. We got past it. This is raw, adult, and true because: couples have stress, love isn't naive, and success vs. reality hits before you ever get the A-list job.

If you and your person are under financial pressure, if your job doesn't see you, if love feels terse at cocktail hour? Then this episode is your aerial view from 2001. It's not naïve to prioritize love at the end of the day. Written and read by Karl Gibson.
