About Basel Writes:
In cooperation with the Basler Kantonalbank, the 'Basel Writes' writing competition was held for the first time in 2025. Over a hundred authors of various genres submitted prose texts, poetry or comics on the topic of Gemeinsam in Basel. The winners were Mattia Avoledo with 'Christmas trees: Panoptics', Sandra Engelbrecht with 'pistachios on porcelain' and Charly Rapp with 'tampon in his ear against the visual city noise'. The recognition prize is awarded to Sena Waser with 'mold in the jam jar'.
