The good ground represents those whose hearts have been plowed by the Spirit, who hear, understand, obey, and endure patiently until fruit forms. Purvis shows that only this fourth group bears lasting spiritual fruit, and fruit—not emotion or gifts—is the true test of Christian maturity. While only God can break the soil, we must yield to His plow, reject laziness, and consistently keep the Word.
