DESCRIPTION
Dr Jamie Fox (from Duke University) joins Dr Mike in the PediaCast Studio for a discussion on Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM). We define EBM, explain its importance, and identify barriers that prevent its incorporation into practice. We cover 4 tools which make it easier to bring EBM to the point-of-care, including PubMed, Cochrane, DynaMed and Google Scholar… and we provide opportunity for listeners to follow along and practice using these tools. We also describe ways practitioners can champion EBM with their colleagues and patients/families. We hope you can join us!
