Pasha Cook is a native of Houston, Texas. She is a former
collegiate and semi pro basketball player. After receiving a
Bachelor's of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of
Memphis in 2002, she sustained a career ending injury. This
struggle quickly propelled Pasha to finding a new strength- she
decided to combine her passion as an educator, experience as an
entrepreneur, and love for sports to create an organization that
will positively impact and encourage individuals world-wide.
In 2013, Cook relocated to New York to work as an image
consultant for elite athletes which preceded her founding Pasha
Cook & Associates which coaches trainees on how to identify and
develop their transferable skills, to maximize their potential in
creating life-long success on and off the court, and career
advisory. Additionally, she facilitates athlete transition
workshops, leadership development training, and career development
seminars.
Pasha educates and consults collegiate and professional athletes
on athletic identity, intentional transitioning, and brand
awareness. She not only enhances athletes, she partners with
non-profit organizations, corporate sports organizations, and
collegiate institutions in creating seminars and forums that focus
on the challenges presented by race and ethnicity, athletic
identity, socio-economic deficiencies, and generational
difference.
Cook has worked with the WNBA, NCAA, Kips Bay Boy's & Girl's
Club, the Women's Prison Association, Dress for Success, and a host
of youth programs and schools. She has also been featured on MSNBC
and in the Houston Business Journal, Black Enterprise Magazine, and
YSF Magazine. Women CEO Project- Houston awarded Pasha Cook &
Associates with the 2015 Biggest Transformation Award for its
service and growth.
