Today we have the pleasure of talking with Rachel McCrystal, executive director at the Woodstock Farm Sanctuary. Rachel shares her vision of a world where animals are not created for the purpose of fulfilling our own human desires - specifically farm animals that are bred to become suffering bodies that are mass produced and kept in terrible confined spaces and left to suffer in their own feces and disease, before they make their final destination, onto a person's plate. We encourage to make a trip to the farm sanctuary where each animal is an ambassador for their larger cohorts, and whether you give a hug to the loving turkey Beatrice or visit Andy the pig or Olly the got, you will be touched by their messages told through the medium of a sanctuary. While the chips may be stacked against Rachel and her unrelenting drive to see a better tomorrow, there's no disputing that the world needs more advocates like Rachel to improve our collective consciousness.
