When we embarked on this plant loving journey, we did it for very specific reasons. They were narrow and highly defined. In a way, we were narrow minded because we thought they would exist in a vacuum. But what surprised us the mostsince transitioning to a vegan lifestyle a few years ago, is all of the unexpected consequences that resulted from opening ourselves up.
In this episode, we discuss 3 unexpected things that happened when we went vegan. First, we started actually thinking about where our food comes from, what all the labels mean, and who participated in the process. Then, it led us to think about other aspects of our lives, namelythe clothes that we wear. We started asking questions about the brands we supported and who the people were behind our t-shirts and jeans. It led us to being more mindful consumers, shopping from ethical companies and sustainable brands. Finally, we also experienced health benefits that we had never expected, both mental and physical. We knew plants would make us feel better but we just didn’t know exactly yet what better meant.
We hope you enjoy this episode where we explore these unexpected topics that suddenly dawned upon us and would love to hear some of the changes you experienced.
