Description

Ethical fashion has not reached the hipness of green juices and avocado toast yet. Unfortunately. A lot of us forget to care about the fabrics that we put on our bodies every single day. While the general public made a connection between ethics and food, we haven't yet reached mainstream approval when it comes to ethics and fashion.

Joshua Katcheris here to change that. The creative mind behind Discerning Brute, a men's fashion and lifestyle blog and the Brave GentleMan, a gender neutral fashion brand based out of Brooklyn, made fashion his life. He is here to make us all understand why we should ask who makes our clothes and what they are made of. Why? Because it matters! The high we get from the $5 t-shirt comes at a cost. Cheap clothes are cheap for us, but we ultimately have to pay a larger price down the road, that affects the environment, animals and other humans who become cheap labor and commodities so we can get a deal.

Joshua is smart, kind and thought provoking. His words are as artful, yet accessible, as the fashion he makes. We are deeply honored about the profoundly meaningful conversation we had with Joshua and about the wisdom he shares with all of us. From historical facts about animals in fashion, to actual practical advice around how we can all be more mindfulwhen we buy shoes and clothes. How we can all be citizens. Not consumers.Because it matters.
