Going vegan as an adult is one thing, but raising vegan children is a whole other story, that comes with an additional set of challenges. Raising vegan children is not the norm (yet), meaning as parents you will have to deal with questions and people challenging you. Additionally, raising vegan children also comes with the responsibility to do it right, to be informed about nutrition and to know how and what to feed them to optimize their health.
Raise Vegan is the first, 100% vegan magazine, that focuses solely on vegan family life. Sharing extensive resources on how to manage a vegan pregnancy, how to parent, what to feed your little ones and how to navigate challenging social situations. The good thing is that science is supporting that a well balanced vegan diet is wonderful at all stages of life. The bad thing is that a lot of people still do not know that. It means debunking myths and swimming against the stream.

Raise Vegan recently launched an amazing pilot program with Facebook. A $9.99 monthly membership that gives you access to videos, and tutorials all developed by Dietitians James Marin and Dahlia Marin. The virtual classroom aims at educating interested parents and helping them step by step on their journey towards a healthy, vegan family.
In our interview, we also chat with Emily L. Wood, the founder of Raise Vegan, about what inspired her to start the magazine. We talk with her about what challenges she has personally faced as a vegan parent. It's a wonderfully inspiring topic, that is still associated with a lot of stigma but Raise Vegan is debunking it, one step at a time.
