(This will only make sense if you live near Georgetown University) On the show this week we kick off the Spooktacular with the true tale of the scariest movie of all time and how it might have started the Satanic Panic! (No, not Mazes and Monsters! The Exorcist!)
Along the way we discover the REAL reason Dave had to drop out of Georgetown. (He used all his student loan money for booze!) Then we dive right into the story of how The Exorcist went from nationwide best selling novel to a blockbuster movie that had people puking in the aisles like a possessed little girl! (Most of which never really happened) From the cursed film set (cursed by an asshole director that is) to its impact on how people in America believed in religion! The true story of The Exorcist is more about the devil inside the marketing department than some red dude with horns and a pitchfork. (Sorry, Satan!)
