Show Notes Episode 407: Rock Against Drugs
This week Host Dave Bledsoe records a public service announcement as part of his probation agreements because he was caught pissing behind a dumpster. (Again) On the show this week we head back to the 1980’s when Nancy Reagan was harshing everyone's buzz because she could never handle her high! (We could have told her never to smoke up with Caspar Weinberger!) We are talking about the ill fated and barely remembered time that rock and roll told us NOT to do drugs. (So there would be more drugs for them to do!)
Along the way we learned that Dave lied to his mother about drinking and doing drugs. (Still does) Then we dive right into Just Say No and how it failed in every conceivable fashion. (Damn near killed Willis!) Then we explain the rationale behind MTV running commercials where rock stars actually had the balls to tell the kids not to do drugs. (Come on, Vince Neil, really?) Then we close out by explaining the REAL reasons kids did drugs. (It made us look cool.)
Our Sponsor this week is Dave Bledsoe, who has a very important message the courts want you to know. We open with Sam Kinison explaining why RAD was so dumb and close with Travis Gidney explaining why he was late for a job interview.
