Description

During WW1, the British and French made a secret deal to split up the Ottoman Empire’s Middle Eastern territories. They did this by drawing a diagonal line on a map that ran from the Mediterranean Sea to the Mountains in Persia. This secret deal is called the Sykes-Picot Agreement. Today, we explore this history and geopolitical realities that led up to this deal.
