Hi!

Today, we are joined by digital creator Em Davies. Em’s online content is adored by hundreds of thousands of people – it’s where she vulnerably shares her journey with grief and motherhood. Em lost her Mum, Sue, to terminal cancer, in her early 20s. Today, she opens up about how the grief has shown up over the years, and now into motherhood.

She also talks about the moment she fell for her now-husband Joel, how they chose to honour Sue on their incredible wedding day, and how they are embracing parenthood together.

Just a note: as with all Shameless Media shows, our editorial content is not influenced by our commercial partners. This episode touches on a personal cancer story, and this episode has fallen with our La Roche-Posay cancer support initiative that’s running all month. The two are completely separate from one another.

Thank you so much to La Roche-Posay’s Fight With Care initiative the for supporting this episode of Inherited. To learn how you can support someone you love through treatment — in both big ways and small — head to cancersupport.com.

And shoutout to The Lovers, too! The Lovers is open from 31 October to 23 November at Theatre Royal Sydney, and you don’t want to miss it. Tickets are available at  TheLoversMusical.com.au!

Inherited is produced by Annabelle Lee and executive-produced by Lucy Hunt.
