Few beat writers have needled the Florida State fan base quite like Safid Deen.
The former beat writer from the Tallahassee Democrat (2014-2016) and the Orlando Sentinel (2016-2018) is a Florida graduate, so that played a role in the instigation. But Deen also closely covered some important stories during a transition time for the program, and also showed outside-the-box thinking in some of his feature writing.
