Is Ryan Day on the verge of naming his starting quarterback? The Buckeyes have their final scrimmage of camp on Saturday and it would not surprise us if Day named a starter when he meets with the media on Tuesday. Jonah Booker joins Dave Biddle to give his prediction on what will happen at the QB spot for the Buckeyes, plus:
** Are Larry Johnson and Jim Knowles not on the same page? Johnson was a bit defensive when meeting with reporters yesterday when asked about the "Jack" position and about using less of a rotation up front. Or perhaps there is nothing to it.
** Junior defensive tackle Tywone Malone -- a transfer from Ole Miss -- is having a strong camp for OSU and has solidified a spot on the two-deep.
** Speaking of transfers, if Josh Simmons -- who started at right tackle for San Diego State last year -- can lock down the starting left tackle job for the Buckeyes and play well, that would be massive for this offensive line.
