Everyone has a moment they will forever tie to Rod Bramblett. The voice of the Auburn Tigers is gone, but he is not forgotten. He is not silenced. Rod and his wife Paula were killed in a tragic, two-vehicle accident May 25, 2019. They leave a void in the Auburn community. And yet Rod's voice still echoes on the Plains. Friends, fans and colleagues gather in a special episode of The Auburn Undercover Podcast to celebrate Rod's life on and off the radio. Former Auburn quarterback and current Auburn radio analyst Stan White, a close friend and coworker in the football booth, shares his favorite memories calling games alongside the voice of Auburn football. Reporter Jason Caldwell discusses his friendship with Bramblett, one that grew out of a mutual love for baseball more than a decade ago. Writers Barrett Sallee and Justin Ferguson, both Auburn alums from Auburn families, discuss their favorite moments, interactions and how Bramblett provided the soundtrack to their lives. Auburn historian David Housel, the former athletics director, reflects on the days leading up to Bramblett's rise to the seat to call Auburn football in 2003 and also reflects on his greatest calls, moments and why an Auburn man like Bramblett was the perfect man for this generation of Auburn fans.
Sit back and listen as we reminisce and celebrate the voice of the Auburn Tigers.
