Sione’s Foundation exists to improve the current living standards and provide a better future for the whole Tongan community, with a key focus on children who are disadvantaged, marginalised or isolated. The registered charity is run from Newcastle by former NRL star Sione Finefeuiaki.
Sione was born in Viaola Hospital Tofoa, Tonga in 1979. After an eight-year-long career in Rugby League with the Sydney Roosters, Melbourne Storm, Manly Sea Eagles, and finally the Newcastle Knights, Sione retired in 2010.
From here, he created Sione's Academy; but that wasn't enough for him.
