The state opposition announced yesterday, that if elected, they would establish a task force to provide oversight into the privatisation of Newcastle bus services.
The task force would examine how outsourcing the public transport services was serving commuters.
Shadow Transport Minister Jo Haylen was in the region, and announced the task force together with Member for Wallsend Sonia Hornery.
