Nottingham Forest remain unbeaten in 8 games in all competitions and rise to sit second in the Premier League. The buzz before last night’s match against league leaders
Liverpool was palpable and the atmosphere at The City Ground was right up there with the best its been in recent times.
The whole team performed as a strong unit, set up to repel a dangerous Liverpool team but there were standout players such as Murillo, Sels and Williams who showed we can go toe to toe at the top of the league and more than hold our own. Yes, it was a bit like the Alamo at the end but when you mix it with the big boys is it any surprise – I mean if you go swimming – you’re gonna get wet!
We’ll look back on a really positive night and also ahead to Sunday when Forest welcome bottom-of-the-table, Southampton to Trentside where they will look to quickly return to winning ways.
