In our third episode with Gay Kelleway, the Exning based trainer gives an update on her incredible Just Giving campaign to #savehorsesinukraine. Gay has now made further trips to the Polish/Ukraine border, a journey of 2,800 miles and in this podcast she praises the racing industry’s support and the challenges her small team are facing regarding logistics and planning. The campaign has now reached 53% of the £40,000 target. “It not just horses, its people, and other animals. If we can help we will help. Anybody who is in trouble regarding this war we will help,” said Gay. I hope to hear from Gay again during the year as she plans further visits to the war-torn area.
