In Black History Month our most popular guest Roland Butcher, the first black cricketer to represent England joins us to talk about his current Diversity, Equality, Equity and Inclusivity tour of the UK.
Roland reveals his inspiration for the tour following the recent events in English cricket at Yorkshire CCC and other counties. Roland, who has worked in sixteen different countries discusses the importance of these important topics in everyday life.
Roland talks passionately about the role diversity and inclusivity played in the successful Middlesex side, of which he was a part of, in the late 1970s, 1980s and early 1990s.
We are also joined by Dave Kenning a Social Science teacher at the Neale Wade Academy in March, Cambridgeshire, who gives his reaction to Roland’s recent visit to the school.
