On Wednesday 14 December 1966 Arkle won his last race, the SGB Chase at Ascot. In this week’s podcast former jockey and BBC pundit and presenter Richard Pitman, who finished 2nd in that race, reviews Arkle’s last win and his fabulous career. Richard is joined on the podcast by Sean Magee an eminent horse racing historian, who wrote Arkle, 'The worlds’ greatest steeplechaser'. Richard also takes a look back at the other races on that famous day which throws up several interesting stories.
