This week was moving week, with the teams with the best records in the league (Philadelphia, Buffalo, Minnesota) along with the World Champion LA Rams all on bye and giving some of the challengers a chance to assert themselves.
Among the main beneficiaries were the Kansas City Chiefs, who got back on track with a win at San Francisco, the NY Giants who got going in the nick of time at Jacksonville and the NY Jets who did just enough in Denver against the Broncos who were without star QB recruit Russell Wilson.
Baltimore and Cincinnati surged ahead in their battle for the AFC North, normal service resumed with Tua Tagovailoa under centre in Miami on SNF and even Washington started to build a winning streak with a surprise win over Green Bay.
