Week 9 saw a lot of teams on bye but still plenty of pivotal action. The Rams and Cardinals continued to fade out of contention for the NFC West title, in the process enabling the Seahawks and Buccaneers to grip first place of their respective divisions ahead of showdown in Munich in week 10.
Elsewhere the Buffalo Bills suffered their second defeat of the season to the New York Jets, who bounced back a bad result in week 8 to quickly return to form; the same can be said for the Cincinnati Bengals who had a shocker on MNF but belted the Carolina Panthers this week. Other playoff contenders on the winners’ list this week include Miami, Minnesota and the LA Chargers.
