Calgarians are still assessing the damage from the hailstorm that tore through north Calgary on Monday night. We don’t know the extent to the damage and how it compares to the hailstorm of 2020 that cost almost a billion dollars in insurance claims, but the real question is why aren’t we using more durable building material on homes to prevent the extensive damage we’ve seen.
