An alleged incident more than 35 years ago has halted the process of confirming U.S. judge Brett Kavanaugh into the Supreme Court. Both Kavanaugh and his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, have testified in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, giving their accounts of an incident that Ford alleges "changed her life forever".
