Description

A group of Canadian businesses, community organizations, non-governmental organizations, researchers and healthcare experts are working together to examine how the pandemic is contributing to unhealthy lifestyles.

Guest:  David 'Patch' Patchell-Evans, founder and CEO of GoodLife Fitness and Fit4Less

The pandemic has made it somewhat easier to acknowledge loss and grief in our society. Death, usually hidden away, is now mentioned in the daily news. As difficult as it is for adults to cope with bereavement it is even more challenging for children. They don't necessarily have the words and the emotional experience and reserves that older people have to help.

Marissa Slaven, Children's Grief Foundation of Canada

Seven words that were said to her at the age of 13 caused years of battling an eating disorder.   She became anorexic and also drank and took drugs.

Now, she loves her life and is eager to help others.

Guest: Carla Bosacki, Global Toronto weather specialist.
