Description

Diabetes is a public health epidemic in Canada (every 3 minutes a Canadian is diagnosed with diabetes and currently 11 million are living with diabetes or pre-diabetes). 

 

But, what impact does a person living with diabetes have on their family?

 

Guest: Hamilton resident Nicole Cleaver and her family  joined eight other families living with type one or type two diabetes and participated in a filmed experiment where the impact of low hypos were discussed in detail. 

 

 

For over 25 years the Cancer Assistance Program has been supporting cancer patients and their families with services that help cancer patients live at home while receiving treatment.

In 2011, he was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Early detection and a quick reaction by his doctors allowed him to fully recover, but he immediately took up the fight for others in the same situation.

He is now one of Bladder Cancer Canada’s largest fundraisers and earned the organization’s highest honour in 2016.
