Description

We're into a Labour Day weekend.  Students will be going back to school. What should parents be doing to ensure their kids head back safely?

Guest: Phil Hauser, Owner, Hauser's Pharmacy and Home Healthcare.

Six million Canadians have arthritis, but those who live with the diagnosis say its impact on their lives is too often diminished. More than 79 per cent of respondents in a recent poll by the Arthritis Society said people don’t take the disease seriously.  September is Arthritis Awareness Month.

Guest:  Trish Barbato, President and CEO of the Arthritis Society.

She specializes in grief counselling, and works in a Hospice.  She hid a serious alcohol addiction for years.  One night, she was in a garage, and thought of closing the door and letting the exhaust fumes do the job.    From that low point in her life, she recently completed a 61-kilometre duathlon in recognition of her 61st birthday.

Guest: Cynthia Breadner.
